Mr. Chin Chee Seong
(Chief Executive Officer)
Mr. Chin Chee Seong (Mr. CHIN), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer, President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of SEATech Ventures Corp. since 2nd of April 2018.
Mr. CHIN brings with him a vast experience of over 30 years in the ICT Industry, including in Information Technology, Telecommunications and Venture investment industry in Malaysia, China and South East Asia. In addition to working in numerous local companies, Mr. CHIN also has extensive experiences with large corporations such as IBM Telekom Malaysia, Gonzo Rosso Japan. Mr. CHIN was the independent Director of the KLSE listed company M-Mode Bhd. from 2009 until 2012 and subsequently the Non-Executive Director of Galasys PLC, the Listed Company in AIMS London, from 2014-2016. Besides being the Chief Executive Officer of SEATech Ventures Corp., Mr. CHIN is also currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Powerware System Sdn. Bhd., as well as the Managing Director for Metita Sdn. Bhd.
Aside from his corporate roles, Mr. CHIN is also very active in numerous NGOs and Government Associations. Mr. CHIN is a venture investment advisor, former chairman, and the Organizing Chair for WCIT 2020 (World Congress of IT) of the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM). Additionally, Mr. CHIN is also the National Vice President of the SME Association of Malaysia and the Council Member as well as Deputy Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI). Mr. CHIN is also the President of the Malaysia Cross Border E-Commerce Association (MCBEA) and Vice President of the Digital Electronic Committee within the Malaysia-China Trade Promotion Association. Last but not least, Mr. CHIN is also a member of the ICT & Knowledge Management Panel within the SME Corporation Malaysia Agency.
Mr. Tan See Meng
(Executive Director)
Mr. Tan See Meng (Mr. TAN), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Executive Director of SEATech Ventures Corp.
A member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a U.K Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), Mr. TAN currently serves as CFO at Just Supply Chain Sdn Bhd and Edubest Resources Sdn Bhd.
Prior to this, he held key roles including Senior Finance Manager and CFO at Next Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, Senior Manager at Rio Venture Sdn Bhd, and Corporate Advisor at Plimsoll Corporation Pte Ltd.
Prof. Cheah Kok Hoong
(Independent Non-Executive Director)
Prof. Cheah Kok Hoong (Prof. CHEAH), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Independent Non-Executive Director of SEATech Ventures Corp.
Prof. CHEAH is the Executive Chairman of SteerQuest Sdn Bhd and SQ Digital Vision Group Sdn Bhd and the Chief Executive Officer of Cognitive Digital Sdn Bhd.
Instrumental in driving the growth of the Malaysian ICT industry, Prof. CHEAH is the Advisor of the Advisory Board to PIKOM (the National Tech Association of Malaysia) and Chairman Emeritus of Digital Global Business Services Council (GBS) Malaysia. He is also a renowned speaker and thought leader at local and regional events. He has been interviewed by most media including on Astro, BFM, Bernama TV, The Star, The Sun, and many more.
Prof. CHEAH has over 30 years of experience across various areas such as business development, merger and acquisition, business strategy, regional expansion, and business process with engineering across various industries such as information technology, venture capital, conglomerates, high tech manufacturing, and the services industry.
He held several top executive and directorship positions in both client and partner organisations in an illustrious career that are synonymous with believing in synergistic partnership to drive business transformation by formulating the organisations’ strategic directions. In addition, he provides valuable counsel on overcoming organisations’ strategic challenges and conduct periodic business review to grow the senior management team.
In addition, Prof. CHEAH has the unique insight in venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) space. He was involved in several large-scale investments and has guided companies through hypergrowth stage.
Prof. CHEAH serves on the Sunway University Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) and is an Adjunct Practice Professor at the Sunway University Business School.
Prof. CHEAH received Chief Information Officer (CIO) Excellence Award from PIKOM in 2010 and was inducted into the the 2016 PLC Hall of Fame for leadership and stewardship in promoting the Project Leadership Certificate (PLC) programme as part of the National ICT Certification & Standardization Grid (NICS Competence Grid).
Academically, Cheah holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Physics from Campbell University, USA and Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT).
