Mr. Chin Chee Seong (Mr. CHIN), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer, President, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of SEATech Ventures Corp. since 2nd of April 2018.
Mr. CHIN brings with him a vast experience of over 30 years in the ICT Industry, including in Information Technology, Telecommunications and Venture investment industry in Malaysia, China and South East Asia. In addition to working in numerous local companies, Mr. CHIN also has extensive experiences with large corporations such as IBM Telekom Malaysia, Gonzo Rosso Japan. Mr. CHIN was the independent Director of the KLSE listed company M-Mode Bhd. from 2009 until 2012 and subsequently the Non-Executive Director of Galasys PLC, the Listed Company in AIMS London, from 2014-2016. Besides being the Chief Executive Officer of SEATech Ventures Corp., Mr. CHIN is also currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Powerware System Sdn. Bhd., as well as the Managing Director for Metita Sdn. Bhd.
Aside from his corporate roles, Mr. CHIN is also very active in numerous NGOs and Government Associations. Mr. CHIN is a venture investment advisor, former chairman, and the Organizing Chair for WCIT 2020 (World Congress of IT) of the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM). Additionally, Mr. CHIN is also the National Vice President of the SME Association of Malaysia and the Council Member as well as Deputy Chairman of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI). Mr. CHIN is also the President of the Malaysia Cross Border E-Commerce Association (MCBEA) and Vice President of the Digital Electronic Committee within the Malaysia-China Trade Promotion Association. Last but not least, Mr. CHIN is also a member of the ICT & Knowledge Management Panel within the SME Corporation Malaysia Agency.
Dr. Seah Kok Wah (Dr. SEAH), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of SEATech Ventures Corp.
Dr. SEAH graduated from California State University, Chico, United States of America with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering and a Master Degree in Computer Science (with Distinction). He also holds a doctorate in International Business. In 1994, Dr. SEAH began his career in Silicon Valley California as a software developer for Software Publishing Corporation and Netscape Communications Corporation. He returned to Malaysia in 1997 and joined Sun Microsystem Inc. of South East Asia.
Dr. SEAH co-founded several companies including Afor Pte Ltd Singapore in 2002 which floated on the Singapore Stock Exchange in 2008 and subsequently rebranded as Epicenter Holdings Ltd (SGX:5MQ). In 2010, Dr. SEAH also co-founded Galasys PLC (LSE:GLS), a company that was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2014. During his time in Galasys PLC, Dr. SEAH served as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Dr. SEAH is currently the Executive Director of AsiaFIN Holdings Corp. and Executive Chairman of Angkasa-X Holdings Corp. Both companies are incorporated in Nevada, United States of America.
Dr. SEAH is the Chairman and Director of the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) and also a Director of The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), a leading consortium of ICT industry association-members from over 80 global companies. WITSA members represent over 90% of the world IT market. He has been recently appointed as the Deputy Chairman of WITSA and Chairman of WITSA Finance Commitee. Dr. SEAH is also the Vice President of the Malaysia Cross Border E-Commerce Association (MCBEA) that represents Malaysian business communities with the main objective in facilitating, promoting and enhancing the competitiveness of both in domestic and international trades via cross border e-commerce platforms.
Mr. Ramesh Ruben Louis (Mr. RAMESH), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Independent Non-Executive Director of SEATech Ventures Corp.
Mr. RAMESH has over 20 years of working experience in financial reporting, auditing and risk management. He is a fellow of ACCA, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), a chartered member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIAM), as well as a Certified Financial Planner. He started his career in Arthur Andersen, and subsequently moved over to BDO. He also has experience in corporate finance whilst attached to Southern Investment Bank Berhad. He was also the Executive Director of training for Morison AAC in Malaysia for several years. Mr. RAMESH was instrumental in pioneering the first of its kind, online resource portal for public practitioners in Malaysia in 2008. He is currently the Principal Trainer for My Learning Training Resources and also provides consulting and advisory services for businesses and public practices in accounting, auditing, corporate finance and risk management across Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Brunei and Cambodia.
His experience in accounting, auditing and risk management ranges from large public listed companies to multinational corporations, government agencies & statutory bodies as well as SME’s in a spectrum of industries including plantation, property development, manufacturing, trading, IT, shipping, retailing, etc. Besides that, Mr. RAMESH also has hands-on experience on other corporate exercises such as due diligence, IPO’s, issuance of bonds, corporate & debt restructuring and investigative audit.
Mr. RAMESH’s training and advisory experience includes topics on auditing, financial reporting and risk management. He has facilitated training and provide advisory for public accountants across Asia Pacific, multinational such as Ericsson, TNB Group, Petronas Group, CIMB Bank, YTL Hotels and public sector institutions such as RISDA, KTMB, the Auditor General’s Department of Malaysia and Brunei, Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Negara (PTPTN), Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Accountant General Department of Malaysia, Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT), Perbadanan Putrajaya, SW Corp, Majlis Perbandaran Kota Bharu, the Johor state government as well as the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Primary Resources & Industries of Brunei. Mr. RAMESH is a certified trainer by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. He holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, graduating with a distinction. Mr. RAMESH was also an adjudicator for the Sarawak Chamber of Commerce Annual Corporate Report Awards. He is a committee member of the Government Accounting Standards Advisory Committee (GASAC), appointed by the Accountant General of Malaysia. He is also an independent director of GreenPro Capital Corp. (GRNQ). He is currently pursuing his Phd at University Malaya.
Mr. Cheah Kok Hoong (Mr. CHEAH), a Malaysian, currently serves as the Independent Non-Executive Director of SEATech Ventures Corp.
MR. CHEAH is the former Group CEO & Director for Hitachi Sunway Information Systems (“Hitachi Sunway”) – a joint venture between Hitachi Systems, Ltd. and Sunway Technology Sdn Bhd to provide ICT and digital solutions and services in ASEAN.
Fearless and confident throughout his career, Mr. CHEAH often pushed himself beyond his comfort level to do great things. He carries multiple roles concurrently in the commercial and industry sectors.
Mr. CHEAH is instrumental in driving the growth of the Malaysian ICT industry, both locally and regionally. And, he plays an active role in developing the next generation of talents for Malaysia. He is a person who is able to influence the industry and he is actively involved in the country’s IT industry developments and continually propagates the advancement of the overall IT capabilities and resources within the diverse local verticals.
A frequent and in demand speaker at local and regional industry events, his opinion and advice is highly sought after. He has been interviewed by most media including on Astro, BFM, Bernama TV, The Star, The Sun, and many more.
With more than 30 years’ experience, he is driven by an endless quest to seek knowledge and has thus garnered a wealth of expertise that spans across business development, M&A, business strategy and process engineering, industry development and services globalization, policy development, IT strategic planning, regional operations and support across both manufacturing and the services sectors.
And, with his experience, Mr. CHEAH was invited to serve on Sunway University and SoftwareONE Industrial Adviosry Board (IAB). In addition, he was recently appointed as Adjunct Practice Professor in the Sunway University Business School, Sunway University.
Mr. CHEAH was inducted into the 2016 PLC Hall of Fame for leadership and stewardship in promoting the PLC Leadership programme as part of the National ICT Certification & Standardization Grid (NICS Competence Grid). In 2010, he was conferred PIKOM’S CIO Excellence Award for his outstanding leadership and for being instrumental in the ICT adoption in the Sunway Group.
Academically, Mr. CHEAH holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Physics from Campbell University, USA and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC).
